In this 48-minute Kim takes us around the world and back! We start the exercise standing with some quads work and balance exercises. We then hit the mat for the classical Pilates repertoire that is safe for people with back and neck injuries and those who may have osteoporosis. We complete the class back on our feet for more balance work and calf and hamstring stretches.

This is a wonderful Pilates mat class that focuses on upper and lower abdominal and back muscles. It is recommended, but not a requirement to use the foam roller and either a ball or a pillow to squeeze between the knees for glute burning exercises. Minjae does not forget her minute-long stretches and a series of push-ups at the very end!

Flexibility and strength are the focus of this nearly 40 minute class. We use the roller to stretch and strengthen the legs, hips, and lower core muscles. We complete the class with Zeina’s favorite exercise: the plank, in both a supine and sideline position.  This Pilates mat class is great for dancers. 

Lower Body & Core work – Level 2

In the first part of this mat class Zeina will focus on strengthening your abdominal core muscles lying on our back. She will then move to a short series of standing, quad burning, muscle strengthening exercises to finish off with lying supine to work on your back muscles and hamstrings.

 

Upper Body Theraband Exercise – Level 1
