Board certified physical therapist since 2011
Certified Pilates instructor since 2019
Laura is an orthopedic physical therapist and utilizes her manual techniques with functional exercise to help people return to their favorite activities. She has a special interest in incorporating the principles and exercises of Pilates where appropriate or when people are interested. Since having children, Laura has also realized how foundational the pelvic floor is to our stability and movement, and has undergone specialized training at the Herman Wallace Pelvic Rehab Institute in treating women for dysfunction in this area. She is passionate about helping women recover from problems that too many suffer from in silence.
In addition, Laura makes it a point to look at the person as a whole, and not just a body part. This includes identifying body alignment, muscle imbalances, as well as how each individual uses their body so she can address all the issues that may be contributing to an injury and facilitate healing.
I love my job because I get to spend my day helping people get back to doing what they love.
Laura’s favorite thing to do is explore the Bay Area with her family. During her free time to herself, she enjoys trying new restaurants or attending a great Pilates and/or Yoga class.
Laura takes a sincere and personal interest in working with me. She is patient and doesn’t set unrealistic goals.
Excellent physical therapist – best I have ever been to.
