Anne-Lise Reusswig

Certified Pilates instructor since 2016

Anne-Lise started dancing in high school and went on to graduate from UC Santa Cruz with a degree in Theater Arts. She then moved to New York, where she was a scholarship student at the Merce Cunningham Studio and have since engaged in a varied professional dance career working with many different choreographers. She was a dance teacher for 20 years.  After suffering a severe back injury, she discovered Pilates as part of her physical therapy and she credits Pilates for her recovery and preserving her ability to continue dancing & moving. She has become very passionate about Pilates and decided to embark on a new career that would permit her to combine this passion for Pilates with her love of teaching. She completed the Balance Body teacher training course at EHS Pilates in San Francisco and is now teaching Pilates.

30 years of dancing and teaching combined with her study of Pilates has helped her to understand how the body works, and how imbalances developed through poor posture and work habits can be corrected through the practice of Pilates and movement therapy. She wants her clients to be conscious of and confident in their own bodies and to transfer the lessons learned in their Pilates training into daily life.  She has worked with all types of clients from those that want to become stronger to clients who have severe injuries & chronic pain. She approaches each client with energy and excitement, and strives to transfer her love of Pilates to everyone.

The instructors are very knowledgeable, friendly & professional. They each have different specialties and all care about each individuals form and safety.
