 History:
Naomi first discovered Pilates when she endeavored to increase her ballroom dancing abilities. Looking for an exercise program that would both increase her strength and improve her posture, her dance teacher pointed her in the direction of Zeina Grifoni and Synergy +. Two years later, Naomi has continued to study with Zeina and completed further Pilates education at the San Francisco Pilates studio of internationally recognized Ellie Herman. In addition, Naomi has completed The Pink Ribbon Certified Instructor Program, which enables her to provide post-operative workouts to breast cancer survivors. She is currently enrolled in the Acupressure Institute in Berkeley working toward her accreditation as a licensed Acupressure Therapist. Being both a certified Pilates Instructor and a former Speech-Language Therapist, Naomi brings a firmly rooted therapeutic and educational background to the Pilates repertoire of exercises.
Besides ballroom dancing, Naomi enjoys walking and hiking, gardening and traveling…all activities, which are enhanced by staying in shape and being strong! She also hopes to maintain adequate balance to stay upright on her Vespa.
Naomi and her husband, Marty Rayman, a pediatric dentist in Marin County, have lived in Kentfield since 1981 and have two grown sons.
