Physical Therapist:
Zeina received her Master's degree in Physical Therapy at Samuel Merritt College in Oakland. She has worked as an independent contractor in both Marin and San Francisco. In September 2005, she opened her own practice, Synergy +. Her main focus is outpatient orthopedics, ranging from post-op rehab to sports related injuries. She specializes in rehabilitation for athletes, primarily circus artists and cyclists.

Certified Pilates Instructor:
Zeina completed her Pilates certification at the Ellie Herman Studios in San Francisco.

Pilates utilizes a methodical approach to strengthening the body by developing essential core muscles. The combination of Physical Therapy and Pilates, enhances both practices. Together, physical therapy and Pilates allow for a safe way to progress through any type of physical activity, as well as a precise method to rehabilitate post injury.

Background:
Zeina has always wanted to help others through her work. This desire has led her from a world of teaching and participating in sports, to rehabilitation. Zeina started teaching gymnastics at the age of 15, and has been teaching everything from scuba diving to swimming to circus arts ever since.

Opening Synergy +, is a dream come true for her, as it allows her to harness her energy, her athletic background, and her education into one discipline.

Zeina currently performs with a San Francisco based circus troupe, Velocity Circus. In her free time she enjoys mountain biking as well as participating in off road adventure races and mini triathlons.

Philosophy:
It is never one thing alone that will make a person stronger, faster, or have less pain. Rather, what is needed is a synergy between two or more things: synergy between two people, between two disciplines, between two ideas--
